A video showing Happy Rogers, the elder daughter of international investor Jim Rogers, reciting ancient Chinese poetry with nearly perfect Mandarin has become an internet sensation recently.

In the video released by pearvideo, Jim Rogers emphasized the importance of Mandarin at a meeting in Hong Kong on November 10, saying that: "when you have your children, you should be sure to teach them Mandarin because Chinese is going to be the most important language in their lifetime.”

"The 19th century was the century of the UK, the 20th century was the century of the US, but the 21st century is going to be the century of China, whether we like it or not,” he added.

Jim Rogers' words were followed by Happy Rogers' poetry recitation. The little girl recited the poem with nearly-perfect Mandarin pronunciation and tones.

Jim Rogers has two daughters Happy (full name Hilton Augusta) and Beeland (known as Baby Bee).

The Rogers uprooted from New York, the US and moved to Singapore in 2007, so their daughters Happy and Beeland can better learn Mandarin Chinese.
