ZTE fell into a state of shock after the US imposed a denial of export privileges against the company, its president Yin Yimin on Friday said at a press briefing.

Yin said, 80,000 jobs were put into jeopardy immediately after the US actions, which will also affect the company's hundreds of carrier clients, millions of end-customers and 300,000 shareholders all around the world.

Yin also noted the company firmly opposed the politicization of the trade issue from the US side, adding it will use all legal means to solve the problem.

The company has the confidence to deal with this challenge and is capable of overcoming any obstacle. It will never give up, he said.
