Photos: Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Museum

A stone carving dating back to Western Xia Dynasty was unearthed in 1974 in Yinchuan, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Photos of some of the most-treasured pieces from the collection kept in Ningxia Museum reveals the skills and excellence of Chinese handcraft art. 

Located in Yinchuan, the Ningxia Museum was listed as a first-grade museum in China in December 2012.

It hosts more than 50,000 ancient artifacts from the Stone Age to the Han Dynasty, including 157 relics under class-A state cultural protection. The museum also features relics from the revolutionary times and from the local area.

A bronze ware with silver paiting dating back to the Warring States Period was unearthed in 1968 in Guyuan County of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. 

A bronze statue with gliding dates back to the Western Xia dynasty. It was unearthed in 1977 in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. 

A set of stone carved doors dating back to the Tang dynasty was unearthed in Yanchi County of Ningxia Hui autonomous Region in 1985. 

A bronze tablet was from the Warring States Period, unearthed in 1973 in Ningxia Autonomous Region. 

A bronze statue with silver and gold painting dates back to Western Han dynasty and was unearthed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 1974. 

A brick carving dating back to Song dynasty was unearthed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 1977. 

A bronze mirror dates back to Yuan dynasty. 

A gold hairpin with gems inlaid dates back to the Qing dynasty.
