Snapshot of Gallup Trump Job Approval

Washington (People’s Daily) - A survey conducted by Monmouth University found that President Donald Trump’s job approval rating reached 42 percent, jumping 10 points over the last month.

The result shows 42 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s performance in the White House, while 50 percent Americans disapprove. Compared with Trump’s job approval at 32 percent and disapproval at 56 percent last December, Trump is in a better position. But this figure is still a low point historically.

Trump’s increase in approval may come from his success with legislative action. A majority 55 percent of Americans say that Trump has been at least somewhat successful at getting Congress to pass his legislative agenda. But Americans are still divided on the agenda he pushed. For instance, 44 percent approve his tax reform plan and 44 percent disapprove.

Another prestigious polling agency, Gallup, showed in its latest results that Trump’s job approval was 38 percent, and disapproval was 58 percent, still the lowest for a modern American president at the same point in his presidency.
