North Korean cheerleaders will be present to support their athletes at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, thepaper.cn reported.
North Korea will be sending 230 cheerleaders to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the fourth time the country has sent cheerleaders to sports competitions in South Korea, said the report, adding that North Korean cheerleaders had attended the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, the 2003 Summer Universiade in Daegu and the 2005 Asian Athletics Championships in Incheon.
The North Korean cheerleaders were called the “group of beauties” who cheered for South Korean athletes at the volleyball competition of the 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade,which the South Korean team won, according to the report.
