This comes after North Korean officials met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

The officials were quoted as saying they’re willing to meet with the US.

It says that with coordinated reform, China can achieve more inclusive and sustainable development.

A World Bank report says China's rapid growth led to a decline in poverty "unprecedented in its speed and scale."

Trump says guns will be top of the agenda with governors

It’s all about guns.

US President Donald Trump says that topped the agenda of his meeting with governors at the White House.

The National Rifle Association pushed back against proposals by Trump and other Republicans to raise the age limit for buying certain types of guns.

They also oppose a ban on bump stocks that turn semi-automatic rifles to machine guns.

Germany's Merkel to put critic in new Cabinet

German Chancellor Angela Merkel practices inclusiveness.

She has appointed a young conservative critic as health minister in her new Cabinet.

Merkel had pledged to put fresh faces in her Cabinet after reaching a coalition deal this month with the center-left Social Democrats.

China wins ITTF Team World Cup titles

China men's and women's table tennis teams are champions at the sport’s team world cup in London.

All matches were played under the new Olympic Test Playing System.

That system sees each tie start with doubles action prior to a maximum of four singles matches.

IOC chief Thomas Bach expresses great confidence in Beijing Winter Olympics

Get ready for Beijing 2022.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach says he’s confident in the next Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games has transformed an old steel mill in Beijing's western suburbs to host its headquarters.

Bach says it is a great example of how the Olympic Games could be a catalyst for long-term planning and development of a city or a country.

China receives 815 orders for C919 passenger jet

And China’s answer to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 gets 815 orders.

This, after a domestic leasing company ordered 30 C919 jets.

The plane has a range of 4,075 kilometers.
