No deletion has been made in Chinese history textbooks concerning the contents of the notorious Cultural Revolution (1966-76) for junior middle school students, said People’s Education Press in a late night statement on Wednesday.

Great concerns have been aroused after somebody posted online claiming that the new edition of history textbooks will omit the descriptions of Cultral Revoltion, said the statement. The truth is that a new chapter on the Cultural Revolution will be adopted into the newly-compiled textbooks, which will be put into use in March, 2018.
