China’s short track speed skater Zhou Yang was named on Wednesday as the flag-bearer for China at the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist, 26, will compete in her third consecutive Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

“It’s not pressure, but motivation for me,” Zhou told reporters at a ceremony in the Olympic Village on Wednesday.

Zhou won the women’s 1,500 meters gold at Sochi Olympics in 2014.

China has totaled 12 gold medals through participating in 10 consecutive Winter Olympics, with 9 of the medals coming from short track speed skating.

China faces a strong host in the South Korean team at the short track speed skating events, which will be held at Gangneung Ice Arena in Pyeongchang’s neighboring city Gangneung.
