A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit southewestern China Saturday morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The quake struck 58km from Nyingchi, a town with a population of 200,000, in Tibet Autonomous Region, southewestern China close to the Indian border.
The 6.9 magnitude earthquake is 10km in depth.
No reports of any damage or injuries have emerged so far. Details to follow.
