Beijing (People's Daily) - US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing this afternoon to start his 3-day visit to China, the third leg of his Asian tour, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

It's Trump's first visit to China as president and the first visit by a foreign head of state to China since the Communist Party of China's 19th National Congress, which ended on Oct. 24. The visit comes at a significant moment in China-US relations.

China has prepared high-standard arrangements for Trump's "state visit-plus."  Aside from standard events like a military honor guard, formal talks and a banquet reception, China has also scheduled other activities, including informal talks for Xi and Trump, Chinese and American entrepreneur interaction and a joint press conference.

Issues of common concern, such as China-US economic and trade cooperation and the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue will top the agenda of the two leaders.
