Los Angeles (People's Daily) -- President Trump wants a previously classified memo released that could prove FBI misconduct during their investigation in his presidential campaign.

A memo from Republican House Intelligence Committee members, led by Devin Nunes (CA), alleges that during the 2016 presidential election the F.B.I and Justice Department officials passed bad information to an intelligence court prior to receiving a surveillance warrant on Carter Page, a foreign policy adviser for the Trump campaign with business ties to Russia, according to a New York Times article.

The DOJ officials only offered incomplete information based on the research of Christopher Steele, an investigator who was on Hilary Clinton’s payroll during her presidential run and for the Democratic National Committee.

DOJ and FBI officials have voiced strong opposition against the memo release.

In a letter to GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan, the Washington Post reported that Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called for Nunes to be dismissed from his post referring to the panel’s actions as a “charade” and a “cover-up campaign . . . to hide the truth about the Trump-Russia scandal.”
