Two people were injured in a shooting Thursday morning on a school campus in Westlake, and a suspect is in custody, police said.

Police received a report of shots fired about 8:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of West 2nd Street, according to LAPD Officer Drake Madison.

The location was reported as Belmont High School, but the campus also shares a property with Castro Middle School, Madison said.
