Washington - The White House announced Monday that US President Donald Trump will travel to China, on November 8 to 10. Chinese President Xi Jinping has invited Trump to visit China during his visit to the US in April.
The two leaders are expected to discuss cooperation ranging from commercial to cultural areas, the White House said in a statement.
Trump will also travel to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and Hawaii from November 3 to 14.
The White House added that Trump’s visit is intended to underscore his commitment to long-standing US alliances and partnerships, and trying to reaffirm US leadership in promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
