A window art exhibition themed on the beautiful mountains and rivers of China was unveiled in Paris on Thursday, marking the official launch of the Happy Spring Festival event in the capital of France.
The exhibition, consisting of 11 display windows and one video window, will continue until February 26. It aims to showcase the warmth of the Chinese Spring Festival to Paris citizens with unique visual arts.

The backboards of each window are images selected from classic ancient Chinese paintings, a panorama of rivers and mountains. A series of soft sculptures made of brocade representing the images are displayed in the windows.
“The art form is full of Chinese characteristics and it’s very eye-catching," a Parisian spectator told the People’s Daily.
Zhai Jun, the Chinese Ambassador to France, sent his Spring Festival greetings to the French people.
Philippe Houzé, chairman of the Galeries Lafayette Department Store in Paris, welcomed the guests. He said in Chinese, “Da jia hao, huan ying da jia lai dao lao fuo ye (Hello everybody, welcome to Lafayette)!”
