Google released a video on Thursday showcasing Scott Beaumont, president of Google Greater China, greeting Chinese people for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year on its official Sina Weibo account, China's Twitter-like social media platform, on Thursday.

It's the third time Beaumont has sent Spring Festival greetings in Chinese.

In the video, Beaumont went over many of the achievements Google has made in China in 2017. He cited the competition between Google's AlphaGo and world's top go player Ke Jie at the Future of Go Summit in Wuzhen, the launch of the“Searching for the Next Great Go Talent”initiative, the Google Translate service that helps Chinese users to overcome language barriers, and the TensorFlow library that helps Chinese developers create their own AI.

Beaumont also showed his Chinese abilities by saying many Chinese buzzwords like laotie jiayou (Come on my brothers and sisters!), “jing bu jingxi, yi bu yiwai” (Isn't it exciting?).

Google announced the launch of the Google AI China Center on December 13, 2017. In addition, its AI technology has also been introduced in arts and culture.

“Wishing you all a happy and prosperous Year of the Dog,” concluded Beaumont.
