The short video Shaking off Poverty shows President Xi Jinping’s commitment to poverty alleviation and achievements China has made in this field under his leadership since the 18th National Congress of the CPC.
Xi has repeatedly expressed his determination to eliminate poverty since he took office.
“Nobody will be left behind on the road to prosperity. Everyone should benefit from the all-round moderately prosperous society,” Xi said at the 19th National Congress of the CPC.
Over the past five years, he has visited 14 destitute areas. No matter how far the journey is, and how arduous the conditions are, he goes there.
