Under the support and recommendation of the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry, China’s Shaxian snacks will be displayed at the Food Show during 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics as the only representative of Chinese cuisine.
Shaxian snacks, one of traditional Chinese cuisine which originates from the Sha county of Southeast China’s Fujian Province, contain over 240 varieties, four series of rice, noodles, beans, and meat.
More and more consumers from over 15 countries and regions, such as the United States, Japan and Portugal, have become fond of Shaxian snacks.
The 2018 Winter Olympics will be held on February 9-25 in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Athletes from more than 90 countries and regions have signed up for it.
To enrich tourists' dining options, a 23-day food show will be held from February 3. The food show tentatively set up 35 food pavilions, including 20 worldwide cuisine pavilions and 15 local cuisine pavilions.
The delegation of Shaxian snacks is expected to visit Pyeongchang at the end of January. At present, the team is actively preparing food, transportation and cooking equipment for the food show.
