Longjing tea is a variety of green tea from Longjing village in Hangzhou, China’s Zhejiang Province. It is considered one of China’s most famous teas.

The best Longjing tea leaves should be picked and processed before the Qingming Festival (Pure Brightness Festival). This is called Mingqian tea (Pre-Qingming tea). Tea made of buds at this time has the best freshness and fragrance of the year.
