Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump watched a Peking Opera performance in the Forbidden City on Wednesday, together with First Ladies Peng Liyuan and Melania Trump.

They watched three pieces, the Drunken Concubine, Monkey King and a performance by children studying the artform. 

President Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon, starting a three-day state visit to China.
