Sao Paulo (People's Daily) - "The 105-year journey of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has fully demonstrated that a political party deeply rooted in the people, committed to self-renewal, and capable of keeping pace with the times can continuously achieve remarkable accomplishments, earn the trust of its people, and make even greater contributions to world peace and development," said Nadia Campeao, Interim President of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), in an exclusive interview with People's Daily.

Campeao said that President Xi Jinping's important speech at the conference celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC profoundly explained the fundamental reasons behind the Party's continued success. In her view, the CPC's unwavering commitment to pursuing truth, remaining deeply rooted in the people, shouldering its historic mission, embracing the spirit of the times, maintaining the courage to struggle, and advancing self-reform together constitute the remarkable qualities that have enabled the Party to remain vibrant and full of vitality.

Last year, Campeao led a delegation on a 10-day visit to China, traveling to Beijing and Shanghai, where she visited government institutions, universities, enterprises, and grassroots communities, while engaging in extensive exchanges with officials and representatives of the Communist Party of China. She said the visit gave her a deeper understanding of why the CPC has been able to unite and lead the Chinese people in achieving one historic accomplishment after another.

Reflecting on her visit, Campeao said she was deeply impressed by the vitality of Chinese society. "Whether in innovative enterprises or local communities, I saw people actively participating in national development, and I also witnessed the governance capacity resulting from the CPC's continuous efforts to strengthen Party building and improve its governing capability," she said. In her view, the CPC's commitment to full and rigorous Party self-governance and its spirit of self-reform have continuously enhanced its creativity, cohesion and capacity, enabling the Party to remain vigorous and dynamic after more than a century.

"What impressed me most was not only China's modern cities, advanced technologies and dynamic industries, but, more importantly, the CPC's unwavering commitment to putting the people first," Campeao said. "Whether in community governance, scientific and technological innovation, rural revitalization or ecological conservation, one can clearly see that the Party has consistently made meeting the people's aspirations for a better life its central goal while ensuring that the fruits of development translate into tangible improvements in people's sense of fulfillment, happiness and security."

"What impressed me most is the CPC's commitment to proceeding from China's national realities while upholding the principles of emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, and advancing with the times through continuous theoretical and practical innovation," she said. "The Party has remained committed to the fundamental principles of Marxism while integrating them with China's specific realities and China's fine traditional culture. This ability to uphold and develop truth is one of the key reasons why the CPC has consistently remained at the forefront of the times."

Campeao also noted that the CPC has consistently combined long-term strategic objectives with phased development goals, continuously refined national development strategies in response to changing circumstances, and maintained strategic resolve and historical initiative in advancing Chinese modernization. She said China's remarkable achievements in high-quality development, technological innovation, green transformation and the digital economy in the new era have provided valuable experience for developing countries seeking modernization paths suited to their own national conditions.

At a time when the world is undergoing profound changes and growing uncertainties, Campeao believes that the CPC's commitment to peaceful development, genuine multilateralism and the building of a community with a shared future for humanity has provided important public goods and platforms for international cooperation.

"I strongly identify with President Xi's call for continuously advancing the building of a community with a shared future for humanity," she said. "No country can address today's global challenges alone. All countries should strengthen dialogue, deepen cooperation, pursue mutual benefit, and work together to safeguard world peace and promote common development." She added that the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative proposed by China have provided important guidance for the international community in responding collectively to global challenges.

Campeao also highly praised the continued development of Brazil-China relations. She noted that, based on mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has continued to deepen, setting a positive example for cooperation among developing countries. The Communist Party of Brazil, she said, stands ready to further strengthen exchanges with the Communist Party of China, enhance mutual learning on governance, deepen cooperation under the BRICS framework, and make positive contributions to building a community with a shared future for humanity.

"For 105 years, the CPC has remained committed to seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation, while making important contributions to world peace and common development," Campeao said. "I am confident that on its new journey, the CPC will continue to unite and lead the Chinese people in advancing Chinese modernization and make even greater contributions to peace, development, cooperation and win-win outcomes around the world."
