Although the world has been deluged with complicated global issues, 2020 will still mark a new era for China to secure a well-off society.

During an inspection tour of Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Chinese President Xi Jinping again stressed efforts to secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and eradicating poverty.

The commitment, equally effective for all ethnic groups, embodies the significance of the Chinese tradition of unity and socialism with Chinese characteristics.

As a treasured land with intoxicating scenery, Ningxia has nonetheless long been haunted by poverty-stricken issues. After decades of practice and reform, the Ningxia government has developed its own way of improving tourism, the ethnic cultural industry, specialist farming and breeding. 

Measures have been expanded including poverty alleviation workshops in collaboration with interested companies, improving technical levels, promoting high-valueindustries and concentrating on environmental protection and ethnic unity.

Based on years of development, Xi’s remarks about overcoming the impact of COVID-19 and giving priority to ensuring stable employment and people's livelihoodshave instilled confidence in people, particularly  ethnic minority groups, to further create their own glorious future.

Not only now, China has always prioritized the aspirations of all ethnic groups for a better life and ensured a moderate prosperity and modernization to the same level.

Ethnic unity has achieved a new high throughout China with multiple ethnic groups in northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and in southwestern Yunnan Province. China has witnessed rapid changes in ethnic lives from poverty to prosperity.

“No single ethnic minority group should be left behind in the country's building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects,” President Xi said.

Despite long suffering doubts and slanders from the Western media, China has maintained unimaginable resolution to overcome all kinds of obstacles in reaching a moderately prosperity for all ethnic groups.

Enterprises and factories across the country have resumed work as the epidemic has been basically brought under control. The malicious attack and rumors manufactured by the Western media about China’s ethnic relations will gradually come to light. There’s no reason to question China’s ability to honor its promise.

Society can always bounce back at an amazing speed and move steadily on track with no one behind, no matter what happens. That’s how China, a great nation with various ethnic groups, responds to its people against all the odds.
