Rioters set fire to citizens, besieged the police and even snatched the police’s guns in Hong Kong on Monday as darkness covered the city. Hong Kong police faced serious law enforcement challenges and the citizens’ personal safety were under serious threat. People with a sense of justice from all walks of life have called on the Hong Kong SAR government and the police to strictly enforce the law.

However, some radicals and media with malicious intentions smeared the police for “murdering students.” These radicals and media turned a blind eye to violent crimes by avoiding talking about what truly happened. They attempted to use labels including "student" and "children" to evoke people's sympathy, glamorizing violence, diluting atrocities and misleading the public.

Students can be seen participating in the recent escalating violence in Hong Kong, but there is no excuse for violating the law. Rioters are just rioters whether they are students or not. It is heartbreaking to see students take the evil path of crime.

Manipulators behind the young people committing crimes are intolerable. Behind the growing violence in campuses, it is an indisputable fact that various extreme thoughts have invaded the campus, exposing the sinister intentions of the opposition to mislead young people.

Ignoring the rule of law and justice and driving students to become blind and fanatical, and even irrational and inhuman violent radicals, these backstage manipulators are the main culprit in messing up Hong Kong.

Young people in Hong Kong have the desire to participate in politics, express opinions and achieve success, but they are also the most vulnerable to ill-disposed people. There are only a small number of Hong Kong students involved in violent activities, while others do not want to harass Hong Kong and hurt innocent people. Many students do not really understand what kind of future will such a chaotic situation lead Hong Kong to.

However, the Hong Kong opposition camp, hiding in the dark, has never really cared for the life and future of young people. They attempt to sacrifice the youth to defraud public sympathy, gain support from foreign forces and reap the rewards of elections in Hong Kong. Under this circumstance, young students need to stay rational and be careful not to become the victims of rioters’ conspiracy.

People who love Hong Kong must not sit still watching schools violently attacked or become a sanctuary for violence. Violence on campus and extreme behavior are increasingly destroying the ethics of public order. All campuses and schools must urgently prohibit illegal activities, restore order and guide the youth back to learning.
