We met Steve Blake in the Beijing office of WildAid China, a non-profit organization dedicated to wild animal protection. His office is not spacious but quite cozy and he shared the stories and ideas when he leads WildAid China.
Headquartered in San Francisco, US, WildAid advocates lower demand for wildlife and related products. The organization works with Asian and Western celebrities and business leaders to dissuade people from purchasing wildlife products through public service announcements and educational initiatives.
Steve discussed efforts made by WildAid China to promote people's awareness of wildlife protection, talking about some popular promotional videos, including one in which Chinese actor Li Guangjie sat under the sea among sharks.
He also discussed China's improvements on wild animal protection over the years. "China has taken huge steps and is really becoming the leader in protecting wildlife," said Steve.
