In this second-half of the episode of the PD Talk with Professor Terrence Sejnowski, president of the Neural Information Processing Systems Foundation, he shared with us his thoughts on some of the ethical and practical issues of AI and how much autonomy we should give to AI.
With the applications of AI, he thinks self-driving cars will be widely adopted in about 20 years. In the future, education will be family-based and your phone will read your emotions.
He acknowledged that there must be some limit and that will only become clear after experiments. He thinks the place that is really essential to set the limit is in the military applications.
