Ke Enya is a 7-year-old girl from a county in Yichang City, Hubei Province. Due to the coronavirus crisis, her school, like many others across the country, chose to run online courses in lieu of in-class education. Since her parents reopened their business – a small braised food stand in a market--on April 3, the first grader has been taking online classes where all kinds of braised food are laid out for more than 30 days.
In order to help her daughter take online courses, Enya's mother, Zhao Weiwei has made full preparations: she switched to a larger data package, bought two desk lamps, chose a laptop with a larger screen and vacated more space under the cutting board.
