On July 14, the river water has crept up the waterborne platform of Hankou Marshland, and many citizens play in the water with their trousers rolled up.

On July 15, Ezhou Guanyin Pavilion, known as the first pavilion of the Yangtze River, suffered from floods when the water level of in Ezhou section of the Yangtze River exceeded its waterproof level. And the pavilion is a national key cultural relic protection unit on a reef in the center of the Ezhou section of the Yangtze River.

Although the floods have inundated the base of Guanyin Pavilion, which is a dozen meters below, the ancient buildings are safe and sound in the floods.

It is understood that Guanyin Pavilion is located in the Yangtze River outside the east gate of Ezhou City. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 700 years.
