Kunming, the capital of Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, is experiencing surging tourism after the country’s COVID-19 policies were adjusted. Among the tourism attractions in Kunming, Haihong Wetland Park is one of the brightest spots because of its popular dawn redwood trees. (Photos: Xinhua, compiled by Zhang Tianchen)
The park is on the north shore of Dianchi Lake and the west of the inlet of the Panlong River. As a natural ecological barrier of Dianchi Lake, the wetland park has beautiful scenery, ornamental vegetation, small forest bridges, wooden walkways, and viewing platforms.
The park contains 25.5 hectares of forest, including its famous dawn redwood trees and other ornamental plants.
Delicate blossoms and shiny foliage make the entire park an extraordinary feast for eyes. Under the reflections of rows of dawn redwood trees and a warm winter sun, the park’s beauty intoxicates thousands of visitors.
