Kodaiji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, uses an Android inspired by the goddess Kannon to explain the teachings of Buddha.

The robotic preacher, named Mindar, debuted on Saturday, delivers a speech synchronized with projections and sound.

Kannon Mindar will begin preaching to the general public in early March.
