The Longwan National Nature Reserve in Huinan County, Northeast China’s Jilin Province shows another side of its beauty in autumn.
Covering an area of 15,061 hectares, the reserve is known for its wetland formed based on crater lakes, dormant volcanoes and quake lakes.
It’s known as the largest crater lake cluster in China, situated in the middle of Longgang Ridge at the northern foot of the Changbai Mountain.
The reserve has a marked continental monsoon climate characterized by four distinct seasons.
In addition to unique landscapes, it hosts many plant and animal species under national protection.
