Under the guidance of animal keepers and parents, the youngsters made a variety of hand-made tangyuan, a traditional festival food known also as glutinous rice dumplings, as a treat for animals in the park.

Given the variation in wildlife eating habits, the diverse feast included fruits, vegetables, worms and meat.

The children delivered colorful tangyuan to the animals and fed them on their own or with the help of staff.

The event was designed to improve the children's knowledge of wildlife and to train the animals in food finding.
