China's first Panda Int'l Culture Week kicks off in Beijing

The opening ceremony of the first China Giant Panda International Culture Week and a series of exhibitions were held at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing on Aug. 23. The exhibitions run until Aug. 26.

The exhibition, with the theme “Sharing Panda Culture with the World,” presents visitors with adorable images of pandas and an assortment of cultural products like cups, ceramic sculptures and lanterns.

The exhibition aims to spread the philosophy of harmonious coexistence between nature and humans, and share Chinese culture with the world.

The exhibition will travel to foreign countries later this year including the Netherlands, Austria and Britain, further promoting cultural exchanges.
