China's southernmost province welcomes its first Pandas

Two male giant pandas, Gonggong and Shunshun, arrive at Haikou Meilan International Airport via Sichuan Airline on Saturday morning.
They are going to settle in Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden, ending the panda’s absence in China’s southernmost province.
Residents welcome the pandas at the airport. The pandas are five years old and from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Ya’an, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
