Wu Yuying, who comes from central China’s Hunan Province, has always been interested in the architecture and history of Chongqing, the municipality in southwest China. /VCG Photo

Wu thought it would be great to keep the memory of Chongqing by crafts, after finding that part of the 18 Steps – a symbol of the old towns in the mountainous city – had been demolished. /Slow News Photo

The piece has been donated to the Chongqing University where Wu is currently a student. “I like the old streets in rainy days. It is warm and makes me feel like home,” she said. /Slow News Photo
