According to an airport statement, the number of checked-in passengers and those entering the terminal during the National Day holiday was 79,400, while the number of tourists exceeded 518,400 - a ratio of nearly 7:1.

Outbound passengers at the airport reached 5,667 on October 2, with 85,000 people entering the terminal.

Many visitors traveled far just to have a look at the airport’s architecture and artwork.

Passengers can check their flight information on their smartphones and walk through with their boarding passes, as the cameras installed beside each boarding pass could read faces and confirm the identity of the passengers.

The terminal building is the largest single-structure airport terminal in the world of more than a million square meters.

The airport aims to provide visitors transformative travel experiences as well as shorter waiting times.
