The first temporary train going to Sichuan province in southwest China left from Shanghai railway station on Jan. 17, 2019, four days ahead of the Spring Festival travel rush.

The travel rush starting from Jan. 21 will last for 40 days, during which there will be a total of 516 pairs of trains running between Shanghai and neighboring provinces.
