The Hotpot Cuisine Culture Festival kicked off Friday in Chongqing, a southwestern China's municipality city widely known as the origin of the hotpot.

Hundreds of visitors were treated to a massive hotpot at the festival. The pot was divided in two, with half containing light flavored broth and the other half, a spicy broth. Models of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings of this city were showcased in the middle of the pot.
