The blossom-headed parakeet is under second-class state protection in China. It had disappeared from China for nearly a century.
At least 22 blossom-headed parakeets were captured by natural photographers last year.
Four other species of parrots were also spotted, updating the record for parrot species spotted in a single region of China.
