Celebrated on the 15th day of the 1st month on Chinese lunar calendar, this year’s Lantern Festival falls on Feb 26. On this day, families get reunion to enjoy sweet dumplings and various folk entertainments. Eating sweet dumplings, a kind of glutinous rice-made dumpling stuffed with fillings of various flavors, is a tradition during the festival. Like the moon in the sky, the round dumpling is a symbol of reunion and happiness.

On Lantern Festival, various kinds of lanterns illuminate the sky, and people flock to streets to view these splendid decorations as part of traditional activities.
