Photos show mountains of zongzi piled high at the Shangheyuan scenic area in Kaifeng, Central China’s Henan Province. In order to celebrate Father’s Day, which coincides with this year’s traditional Dragon Boat Festival held on the lunar May 5, the scenic area displayed the Chinese characters of “Fu Ai Ru Shan” (meaning “A Father’s love is as great as the mountains”) with zongzi.

Zongzi is a traditional food for festivals and is made from sticky rice filled with jujube, sweetened bean paste or meat. It is wrapped into a cone or diamond shape with reed leaves.

After the show, more than 20,000 zongzi were snapped up by thousands of tourists and citizens. (Source: IC)
