In northeast China’s Changchun City, a 58-year-old architecture enthusiast named Song Yamin, successfully saved this city’s architectural history through pen drawings. (Photos: Chinanews.com, compiled by Ma Xiaoxi)
In the past five years, Song has visited every street and alley of Changchun and made enough references from books and old photos, which helped him to depict more than 100 old buildings in his drawings, making them look more realistic.
In Song’s mind, all his efforts were to save this city’s amazing architectural history. Time passes fast, but his drawings might help us to review this city’s hundreds of years of history.
