Hundreds of residents in Yancheng City, east China's Jiangsu Province, queued to donate blood, after an explosion occurred at a chemical facility in Yancheng on Thursday, killing at least 64 and injuring hundreds. (Photos: VCG)
Many blood donors even waited at the blood collection site after midnight on the day when the explosion happened.
On Friday, the blood center of Yancheng said the blood storage was now enough, with the donation as a big help, The Beijing News reported.
According to Xinhua, thousands of firefighters and medical workers have joined in the rescue.
