A group of rare kiangs, which are under first-class protection in China, are seen in the Kazak Autonomous County of Aksay, Northwest China's Gansu Province, on January 16.
Together with other wild animals that are also nationally protected, like wild yaks and Tibetan gazelles, kiangs add vitality and vigor to the spectacular snow scenery of the plateau.
