Large flocks of migratory birds, including some rare species, have been spotted in wetlands in Luanping, a county adjacent to the Chinese capital Beijing.

The county has made steady efforts to stabilize its ecology in recent years.

The forest coverage rate in the county has reached more than 60 percent, data from the local government showed.
