Typhoon Rumbia brought torrential rain to Shouguang and many other places in Shangdong province on Aug. 18 and 19.
The rainstorm has caused water levels on the Mihe River, flowing through Qingzhou and Shouguang, to rise, and three reservoirs on the upper reaches discharged floodwater simultaneously, leading to flooding of villages along the banks.
Authorities of Weifang city said that 13 people were dead, three others missing, and no death reported during the relocation of local residents.
