Workers are busy repairing a Great Wall section that is exposed above the water’s surface during dry season in Qianxi county, North China’s Hebei Province.

In the 1970s, after the Panjiakou Reservoir was built in the county, the Panjiakou pass and part of the Great Wall were submerged under water, forming a unique section of “underwater Great Wall".
