Zhao Hongmei, a retired hotel worker and her husband Zhang Tingxiu, a retired teacher both share a love for collecting marble rocks. Four years ago, they were inspired to do something with their  collection and started painting on the rocks, using the marble as their canvas. /VCG Photo

Now, the couple has transformed numerous marbles into one-of-a-kind art pieces. Some of the pieces include the images of Chinese scenery, animals and oil paintings. /VCG Photo

Zhang, the husband, is currently 60-years-old and enjoys music and singing. His love for collecting rocks dates back many years. To this day, he still regularly goes near different river creeks to hunt for rocks. /VCG Photo
