The L-shaped “highway” is approximately 300-meter-long, and is built as a fire escape route. The first and second floors of the 6-story building are occupied by local businesses including restaurants and tea houses, with the third floor and above used as a parking lot.
The interesting visual appearance of the rooftop highway is a result of the geographical features of the city, where slopes can be seen everywhere.
