Rural tourism helps to lift locals out of poverty in China's Ningxia

Longwangba is located in Xihaigu, an impoverished mountainous region in Ningxia.
In 2011, the village founded a cooperation to develop rural tourism, poultry farming and peony and organic strawberry planting.

So far, Longwangba Village has been lifted out of poverty. It hosts about 160,000 tourist trips per year.
