Local bars gear up by creating the Singapore Sling, a gin-based cocktail developed by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender in the 1910s, into styles which bear the two countries’ characters from color to ingredients. /VCG Photo
A bistro called Escobar refreshes its Singapore Sling and launched “Trump” and “Kim” special offers. “Trump” is a blue cocktail mixed with bourbon whisky while “Kim” is red with soju, a traditional Korean alcohol as the base. “Both drinks use equal portions of alcohol to avoid controversy about which was stronger,” Stan Sri Ganesh, the bar owner told Reuters. /VCG Photo
Each drink is reportedly priced at 12.6 Singapore dollars (approximately 9.5 US dollars). Some other bars are using Diet Coke, a Trump obsession and soju as the base for their special Singapore Sling. /VCG Photo
