On February 14, drivers and passengers wanting to enter Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, through a toll station had to scan a QR code suspended in the air by a hovering drone. (Photos: China News)
After drivers scan the QR code, authorities can quickly check whether people in the vehicle are from other provinces. Suspending the code in the air improves the traffic efficiency of toll stations, reduces personnel contact and reduces the risk of cross infection of COVID-19 epidemic.
A driver's mobile phone shows that the code scanning registration was successful.
